Built for the Climb: Grit, Grace, and the Dad Your Kids Will Remember
Because Your Children Are Watching More Than You Think
Your kids won’t remember everything you said.
But they will remember:
• How you handled pressure
• How you treated yourself
• How you responded to failure
• How you talked about God
They’re learning what manhood looks like by watching you carry weight.
Grit Is What Love Looks Like Over Time
Grit isn’t loud.
It’s consistent.
It’s showing up when you’re discouraged.
It’s apologizing when you mess up.
It’s choosing patience when anger is easier.
Jesus didn’t quit halfway.
And neither do you.
Grace Keeps Grit from Turning Hard
Grit without grace becomes harsh.
Grace without grit becomes hollow.
You need both.
You’re allowed to be imperfect.
You’re not allowed to be passive.
God’s grace covers your failures—but it also calls you higher.
Legacy Is Built on Ordinary Days
Most dads think legacy comes from big moments.
It doesn’t.
It comes from:
• Homework help
• Bedtime prayers
• Consistent boundaries
• Calm corrections
• Showing up again
That’s how kingdoms are built—one faithful day at a time.
2026 Is a Climb Worth Taking
You don’t need to be fearless.
You need to be faithful.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You need to keep walking.
Micah 6:8 gives the blueprint:
“Act justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly with your God.”
That’s the attitude.
Those are the tools.
That’s the grit.
And if you live that way—
2026 won’t just be better.
It’ll be holy ground.
